Detonation Flame Arrestors

Enardo Design

The Enardo design represents the best value in flame arrestor protection. Detonation Flame Arrestors provide protection against flame propagation in piping systems that are manifolded or have long run-up distances. Enardo utilizes a patented element assembly that dampens the high velocities and pressure associated with deflagrations and detonations, while quenching the flame front. Their design is unique in the ability to provide larger flame channels which require less frequent maintenance and greater ease in cleaning when service is required, translating to less down time. The patented element offers maximum flow to pressure drop characteristics, enhancing the value of our product to any system.

Proven Performance

These arrestors are bi-directional and are proven to stop an ignited flammable vapor mixture approaching from either direction that can be traveling at subsonic or supersonic velocities. Models have been tested to the U.S. Coast Guard Standard as published in the Federal Register; Appendix A to 33 CFR Part 154 to NEC gas group types D, C, and B. Additionally, they are recognized by and tested to international standards; Canadian Standard Association (CSA) Z343 Rv. 12, British Standard Institute (BSI) 7244: 1990, and German Standard Physikallisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB).

Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve With Flame Arrestor

Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve and Flame Arrestor with Low Pressure DropThe 950 series relief valve with Series 7 flame arrestor allows a storage tank with flammable liquids or solvents to breathe, thus maintaining a safe internal working pressure while protecting against fire and explosion from outside sources of ignition. Available in sizes 2" to 10". Standard pressure and vacuum settings are 1/2 ounce or 1 inch of water column. Seats and pallets are non-corrosive advanced composite materials or stainless steel. For closed in vapor collection systems, use an 850 series relief valve with an Enardo detonation flame arrestor.
