The Civacon MaxAir High Performance 5"x 4" Air Operated Emergency Valve is ideal for both petroleum and crude applications. MaxAir Series valves are engineered with no moving parts in the flow path to provide a superior flow rate and an independent external exhaust, which isolates the valve exhaust from the rest of the system. The MaxAir valve is also compatible with diesel, biodiesel, gasoline, ethanol and methanol. The AirMax features an integrated air inlet that allows the unit to close if it becomes sheared in the result of an accident and a factory installed fusible plug that will melt at a temperature of 212° F(100° C) allowing the valve to deplete air pressure. The MaxAir HP High Performance Emergency Valve conforms with API 1004 and EN 13083 standards and incorporates a frangible shear groove per 49CFR178.345-8 tested per TTMA RP 84.
