A Daniel Meter Tube consists of an orifice fitting (Daniel Senior, Junior, Simplex or Orifice Flange Union), a length of pipe upstream of the fitting and a corresponding length of pipe downstream of the fitting. There can also be a flow conditioner upstream of the orifice. A meter tube smooths out the turbulence that can interfere with accurate measurement of flowing media, ensuring consistent measurement accuracy.
