Blue Ribbon Pressure Limiting Valves are also known as Overload Protectors or Gauge Savers. They cut off pressure rising above a desired pressure set-point which prevents failure of pressure gauges & instruments. The Pressure Limiting Valve shuts off the system with the quick and positive action of a built in push-rod device. When system pressure falls below the pre-set pressure value, the line and/or the pressure gauge will be automatically put into operation again. Pressure Limiting Valves are necessary for the protection of pressure sensitive instruments against over-pressure, sudden line induced pressure surges, which are principal causes of instrument failure.
